How to make a new page and link it to the main index

First, log in so that you can have editing privileges. You then need to click "new page," and start the new page for the species. Name it - give it the species name - and click "create new page." You can then add stuff to the new page - perhaps with just the name of the species and your name at the bottom. Then save those changes.

Now you'll need to link the new page to the name of the species on the front page of the wiki, so click "home." Then click edit page so that you can edit the main page. Highlight the name of the species you chose, and click the "link" button at the top of the window. You then pick the following options.

Link Type: WikiPage

Link to wiki page: the name of the page

Link text: the name of the species you chose

Then you should be set to update the page with whatever information you want!
